Care
- Cleaning: For the exterior, wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers that could damage the enamel finish. For the interior, regularly descale to prevent mineral buildup.
- Descaling: Use a commercial kettle descaler according to its instructions, or a natural solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Fill the kettle with the solution, bring it to a boil, then let it sit for 20-30 minutes (or longer for heavy buildup). Rinse thoroughly several times to remove all traces of descaler and odor.
- Storage: The foldable handle allows for more compact storage when not in use. Ensure the kettle is completely dry before storing to prevent rust or mildew.
- Handling: Always use oven mitts or a pot holder when handling a hot kettle. Avoid sudden temperature changes; do not place a hot kettle under cold water or vice-versa, as this can shock the enamel.
