FAQs

What size mattress does this bed fit?

This bed is designed to fit a standard UK single mattress.

Can one person assemble this bed alone?

Due to the size of the components and the nature of the gas-lift frame, it is highly recommended to have two people during assembly for safety.

Is the corduroy fabric easy to maintain?

Yes, regular vacuuming with a soft brush attachment is sufficient to keep the fabric looking clean and tidy.

How much weight can the storage compartment hold?

The compartment is designed for standard bedroom storage, such as bedding and clothing; avoid storing excessively heavy or dense items.

Does the bed come with a mattress?

No, the mattress is sold separately.

Troubleshooting

The bed will not stay in the upright position

Check that the mattress is present; the gas-lift mechanism requires the weight of a mattress to function correctly.

Difficulty lifting the bed

Ensure the mattress is centered correctly on the base and that no bedding is caught in the hinge mechanism.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Maximizes storage in compact bedrooms
  • Stylish and comfortable corduroy finish
  • Reliable gas-lift mechanism for effortless access
  • Padded headboard adds comfort and visual appeal

Cons

  • Requires two people for safe assembly
  • Heavy package weight during delivery
  • Not suitable for those who prefer low-profile bed frames

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Clear a large area in the room to accommodate the frame dimensions during assembly.
  2. Ensure you have a second person to help align the heavy metal frame components.
  3. Follow the instruction manual carefully, particularly when attaching the gas-lift pistons, as these require specific tension for safe operation.

Compatibility:

This bed fits standard UK single mattresses. Ensure your mattress is within the recommended weight range for the gas-lift mechanism to operate smoothly.

Care:

  • Vacuum the corduroy fabric regularly with a soft upholstery attachment to prevent dust build-up.
  • Wipe the metal frame occasionally with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners on the fabric, as they may damage the texture.
