Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack All Components: Carefully unpack all boxes and lay out components, checking against the provided parts list in the instruction manual.
- Assemble Frame: Follow the step-by-step instructions to assemble the main bed frame, ensuring all bolts and fixings are securely tightened. It is highly recommended to have two people for assembly due to the size and weight of components.
- Install Gas Struts: Attach the gas hydraulic struts as per the manual. Note that these may be stiff initially and will soften slightly once a mattress is placed on the bed.
- Place Slatted Base: Secure the slatted mattress base onto the frame, ensuring it is correctly aligned with the gas lift mechanism.
- Position Mattress: Once the frame is fully assembled and stable, place your chosen mattress onto the slatted base. The weight of the mattress is essential for the gas lift mechanism to function correctly.
> Info needed: Specific tools required for assembly (e.g., Allen key, spanner). Refer to your product manual for exact requirements.
Compatibility
- Mattress: This bed is designed to accommodate standard mattress sizes (e.g., Single for the specified product). Ensure your mattress matches the bed frame's size. While most mattress types (spring, foam, hybrid) are compatible, the gas lift mechanism is designed to work optimally with a mattress of appropriate weight. Very lightweight mattresses might not fully engage the gas lift's closing mechanism, while extremely heavy ones might make lifting harder.
> Info needed: Specific dimensions for "Single" mattress compatible with this model.
Care
- Upholstery Cleaning: For the hopsack fabric, gently vacuum regularly using an upholstery attachment to remove dust and debris. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher marks, use a slightly damp cloth with mild, diluted fabric cleaner, testing on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive moisture.
- Mechanism Maintenance: Periodically check the gas hydraulic system and all frame connections to ensure they remain secure. Lubricate moving parts of the gas lift mechanism if recommended in the product manual.
- General Care: Avoid dragging the bed when moving it; always lift it with assistance. Protect the fabric from direct prolonged sunlight to prevent fading.
