Setup, Compatibility & Care
Surface Preparation
For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from loose paint, dirt, or debris. Use a stiff brush or sandpaper to remove any flaking material. For wood, ensure it's sound and clean. For metal, clean thoroughly and always apply a suitable metal primer before painting to ensure proper adhesion and durability. Terracotta, brick, and stone should also be clean and dry.
Application
- Stir Well: Before and during use, stir the paint thoroughly to ensure an even color and consistency.
- Apply Thin Coats: Use a brush or roller to apply thin, even coats. Avoid applying too thickly to prevent drips and ensure proper drying.
- Multiple Coats: Apply at least two coats for optimal color depth and protection. Allow sufficient drying time between coats.
Compatibility
This paint is compatible with:
- Wood: Fences, sheds, garden furniture.
- Terracotta: Pots, ornaments.
- Brick: Walls, planters.
- Stone: Statues, pathways (ensure it's not a high-traffic area).
- Metal: Gates, railings (requires a suitable metal primer first).
Care & Storage
- Cleaning: Clean brushes and rollers immediately after use with warm, soapy water.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect painted surfaces for any signs of wear. Reapply as needed to maintain protection and appearance.
- Storage: Store the paint in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and frost. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed.
