Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your RUNFALCON 5 TR shoes is straightforward:
- Lacing: Untie the laces fully. Insert your foot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated against the back of the shoe.
- Adjusting the Fit: Begin lacing from the toes, pulling each cross-section snugly but not too tightly. Ensure even tension across the foot. Use the top eyelets for added ankle support if desired, especially on uneven terrain.
- Final Check: Walk a few steps to confirm the fit. Your toes should have a small amount of space at the front, and your heel should feel secure without slipping.
Compatibility
- Activities: Ideal for trail running, light off-road running, mixed-terrain workouts, and outdoor walking. Also suitable for general fitness activities and casual wear.
- Terrain: Best suited for dirt paths, gravel roads, light trails, and mixed surfaces. The mudguard provides benefits on muddy or loose ground.
- Weather: The water-repellent upper is suitable for damp conditions, light rain, and cool weather. For heavy rain or submersion, consider fully waterproof options.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your running shoes:
- Cleaning: After use, especially on trails, gently brush off loose dirt and mud. For deeper cleaning, use a soft brush or cloth with mild soap and cold water. Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing, as this can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can cause materials to shrink or warp. You can stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing them in plastic bags, which can trap moisture and promote odor.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove the insoles and air them out. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the shoes overnight.
- Inspection: Regularly check the outsole for excessive wear and the upper for any damage. Addressing minor issues early can prevent further deterioration.
