The Freefoam 45mm Brown PVC Architrave is designed for professional builders, DIY enthusiasts, and homeowners seeking a low-maintenance, aesthetically pleasing finish for door and window frames. The primary benefit of this product is its durability and resistance to moisture, which eliminates the need for painting or regular sanding compared to traditional timber architraves. However, users should note that as a rigid PVC product, it requires precise cutting tools and careful handling to ensure clean edges and proper alignment during installation.

It is designed to be maintenance-free and is not intended to be painted. The brown finish is meant to be the final look.
You will need a fine-toothed saw, a tape measure, a pencil for marking, and a suitable grab adhesive or silicone.
This product is primarily designed for internal interior spaces. For external applications, consult manufacturer documentation regarding specific outdoor UV resistance.
Use a miter box and a fine-toothed saw to ensure an accurate 45-degree angle for clean corner joints.
It has some slight flexibility, but it is a rigid PVC profile. Do not attempt to force it around tight curves as it may crack.
Wipe away excess adhesive immediately with a clean, damp cloth before it sets. Once cured, it is very difficult to remove without damaging the PVC.
Ensure the wall surface is free of grease, dust, and loose paint. Use a high-tack grab adhesive specifically rated for PVC.
Use a fine-toothed blade or a dedicated PVC cutting blade. Sanding lightly with a very fine-grit paper can smooth out minor imperfections.
Hold the trim in place with painter's tape or temporary supports while the adhesive cures to ensure it maintains consistent pressure against the wall.
Installation is straightforward due to the lightweight nature of the PVC. Ensure your walls are dry and stable before applying adhesives. If using grab adhesive, apply a continuous bead along the rear of the architrave, press firmly into position, and hold until the initial tack sets. Because it is pre-finished, you do not need to apply protective coatings. To clean, simply wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild household detergent. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh solvent-based cleaners that could dull the smooth surface of the PVC.
