Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your Skechers Workshire Safety Boots, ensure you try them on with the type of socks you typically wear for work. Lace them up securely using the durable metal eyelets, ensuring a snug yet comfortable fit around your ankle. The padded collar and tongue should sit comfortably without causing pressure points. Walk around to assess the Relaxed Fit and Memory Foam cushioning, allowing your feet to settle into the boots.
Compatibility
These boots are suitable for a wide range of industrial and occupational settings that require EN ISO 20345:2011 SB SRA certified safety footwear. This includes, but is not limited to, construction, warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, and maintenance roles where there's a risk of falling objects, compression hazards, or slippery surfaces. The oil-resistant traction outsole makes them particularly compatible with environments where oil or grease may be present.
Care Instructions
To optimize the protective features and extend the life of your Skechers Workshire Safety Boots, follow these care instructions:
- Regular Cleaning: It is important that the footwear be regularly cleaned to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the full grain leather upper.
- Treatment: Treat the leather with a good proprietary cleaning and conditioning product designed for leather footwear. This helps maintain the leather's suppleness and water resistance.
- Avoid Caustic Agents: Do not use any harsh or caustic cleaning agents, as these can damage the leather and other materials.
- Drying: Allow your boots to dry naturally in a cool, dry area, away from direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight). Rapid drying can crack or damage the leather.
- Insole Care: The Memory Foam cushioned removable comfort insole can be removed and aired out periodically to maintain freshness. If soiled, gently hand wash with mild soap and water, and allow to air dry completely before reinserting.
