The Shorebay jacket offers good waterproof protection suitable for moderate to heavy rain due to its Isotex 15000 fabric and taped seams. For extreme or prolonged downpours, a jacket with a higher waterproof rating might be more appropriate.

Machine wash at 30°C with a mild detergent and rinse thoroughly. Avoid bleach, tumble drying, and ironing. Periodically reapply a DWR treatment to maintain water repellency.

The jacket is designed for waterproofing and breathability. For cold weather, it's recommended to layer base and mid-layers underneath to provide insulation.

The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish causes water to bead up and roll off the surface of the fabric, preventing it from becoming saturated and helping to maintain the jacket's breathability and lightweight feel.

The jacket features zipped pockets, which offer secure storage and a degree of protection from light moisture. However, they are not designed to be fully submersible or waterproof for extended periods in heavy rain.

Ensure all zippers and closures are sealed. If the jacket is damp from sweat, allow it to air dry completely. For persistent issues, check breathability ratings and consider the activity level.

While taped seams are designed for waterproofness, prolonged exposure to heavy rain or damage to the tape could cause leaks. If the tape is visibly damaged, repair may not be possible, and replacement might be necessary.

Gently clean the zipper teeth with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap. Dry thoroughly and lubricate with a graphite pencil or specialized zipper lubricant.
