These boots are primarily designed for waterproofing, not insulation. For cold winter weather, we recommend wearing thermal or thick wool socks inside for added warmth. Hunter also offers insulated styles for extreme cold.

While fully waterproof and comfortable for general outdoor use, these boots are not designed for extensive, technical hiking. For long-distance or challenging terrain, specialized hiking boots with more ankle support and robust soles would be more appropriate.

The boot height is approximately 26cm (10.25 inches), offering excellent protection for shallow puddles and damp conditions while allowing for greater freedom of movement than taller boots.

The pin-buckle strap detail is primarily decorative. While it can be adjusted slightly, its main purpose is aesthetic and not intended for significant fit alteration.

Vulcanised rubber is a natural rubber that has been treated with a curing process, typically involving sulfur and heat. This process significantly improves the rubber's durability, elasticity, strength, and resistance to water and temperature changes, making it ideal for high-quality wellington boots.

This is a natural occurrence called 'blooming' on high-quality natural rubber. It does not affect the performance of the boots. Use a Hunter Boot Buffer spray or a damp cloth with mild soap to wipe the film away and restore the boots' original finish.
