Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Professional Lens Fitting: Your Ray-Ban RX5228 frames are designed to accommodate prescription lenses. Take your new frames to a certified optician for professional lens installation. This ensures proper alignment and a secure fit for your prescription.
- Personalized Adjustment: After lens installation, the optician can also make minor adjustments to the frame arms and nose pads (if applicable to lens type) to ensure a perfect, comfortable fit for your face.
Compatibility
- Prescription Lenses: These frames are compatible with a wide range of prescription lenses, including single vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses. Consult your optician for specific lens recommendations.
- Face Shapes: The Retro Wingtip style is generally flattering on many face shapes. Your optician can help assess the fit.
Product Care
To ensure your Ray-Ban RX5228 frames maintain their stunning look and functionality:
- Regular Cleaning: Clean your frames daily using a soft, lint-free cloth (preferably microfiber) and a mild eyeglass cleaning solution or lukewarm water with a tiny drop of dish soap. Avoid harsh chemicals, ammonia-based cleaners, or abrasive materials.
- Proper Storage: When not in use, always store your eyeglasses in their protective case to prevent scratches and damage. Avoid leaving them exposed on surfaces where they could be knocked off.
- Handling: Always use both hands to put on and take off your glasses to prevent bending the temples or misaligning the frame.
- Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose your frames to extreme heat (e.g., leaving them on a car dashboard in the sun) as this can warp the acetate material. Similarly, avoid extreme cold.
- Periodic Professional Check-ups: Visit your optician periodically for professional cleaning, adjustments, and to ensure screws are tightened and the frame remains in optimal condition.
