Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Ray-Ban RX5228 eyeglasses come ready for prescription lens installation by your optician.
- Visit Your Optician: Take your new frames to a qualified optician to have your custom prescription lenses fitted. They will also adjust the frame for a perfect fit to your face.
- Initial Adjustment: The optician will adjust the temples and nose pads (if applicable) to ensure the glasses sit comfortably and securely without slipping or pinching.
Compatibility
These frames are compatible with most standard prescription lens types, including single vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses. Consult your optician for specific lens recommendations based on your visual needs.
Care
- Cleaning: Clean your glasses regularly using a microfiber cloth and a specialized eyeglass cleaning solution. Avoid using paper towels or clothing, which can scratch the lenses or frame.
- Storage: When not in use, always store your eyeglasses in their protective case to prevent scratches and damage.
- Handling: Always handle your glasses by the frame to avoid smudging lenses and minimize stress on the hinges.
- Avoid Extreme Heat: Do not expose your eyeglasses to extreme temperatures (e.g., leaving them on a car dashboard), as this can warp the plastic frame and damage lens coatings.
