Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced firmly but not overly tight, allowing for natural foot flex. Start from the bottom and work your way up, pulling laces snugly through each eyelet.
- Socks: Wear appropriate walking socks designed for hiking to enhance comfort and moisture-wicking properties.
Compatibility
These boots are designed for adult women for general outdoor activities, hiking, and trail walking. They are suitable for various terrains due to their superior traction outsole. Compatible with standard outdoor clothing and accessories.
Care Instructions
Proper care is essential to maintain the performance and longevity of your Holcombe III Walking Boots:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe clean only. Use a damp cloth to remove mud and dirt from the upper and outsole. Avoid harsh brushes or abrasive cleaners that could damage the synthetic materials or waterproofing membrane.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Remove insoles and loosen laces to promote airflow. Do not place them near direct heat sources such as radiators, fires, or direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area when not in use. Avoid storing them in damp or confined spaces.
- Waterproofing Maintenance: While the boots feature an ISOTEX membrane, consider periodically treating the outer synthetic upper with a suitable water-repellent spray designed for synthetic fabrics to maintain its water-resistant finish.
