Isotex 15000 is Regatta's own waterproof and breathable fabric technology. The '15000' refers to its hydrostatic head rating, meaning it can withstand 15,000mm of water pressure before leaking, and its breathability rating, which is 15,000 g/m²/24 hours.

If water no longer beads up and rolls off the fabric but instead soaks into the material, it's time to reapply a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment.

This jacket is designed for waterproofing and breathability. For cold weather, it's recommended to layer a warm insulating jacket (like a fleece or down jacket) underneath.

The pockets are designed to be water-resistant due to their zipped closure, but they are not fully submersible. It is advisable to use a waterproof pouch for sensitive electronic devices.

Waterproof means the fabric is impermeable to water under pressure (like Isotex 15000). Water-resistant means it can repel light rain for a period but will eventually allow water through.

It's generally recommended to wash the jacket when it is visibly dirty or when its performance (like breathability or water repellency) seems to decrease. Over-washing can sometimes reduce the DWR's effectiveness.

Ensure all seams are properly sealed and that the DWR finish is still effective. Reapply a DWR treatment if necessary. Check that zippers are fully closed and that the hood, cuffs, and hem are securely adjusted.

The breathability may be reduced if the outer fabric is saturated or if the internal pores are blocked. Clean the jacket according to care instructions. Ensure any protective sprays or washes used are compatible with breathable membranes.

Gently clean the zipper teeth with a damp cloth and allow to dry. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or wax specifically designed for zippers.
