The Salomon XT-Evo is designed for active adults who need a versatile, high-performance trainer that transitions seamlessly from rugged trails to urban environments. Its key benefit lies in the combination of a stabilizing chassis and breathable mesh construction, offering both durability and all-day comfort. One caveat is that the specialized Quicklace system may require a brief adjustment period for those accustomed to traditional laces.

No, these trainers feature a mesh base for boosted breathability, which is excellent for moisture management but they are not constructed with a waterproof membrane.
While durable and supportive, they are categorized as trainers suitable for various terrains rather than long-distance road racing shoes.
Salomon offers universal Quicklace repair kits that allow you to swap out worn or broken laces with standard tools.
The XT-Evo uses SensiFit and EndoFit technology to create a snug, performance-oriented fit, which may feel narrow to users with wide feet; trying them on with your preferred athletic socks is recommended.
Like most high-traction rubber compounds, heavy use on abrasive concrete surfaces will increase the rate of wear compared to use on soft trails.
Adjust the tension manually by sliding the lace lock and redistribute the tension across the entire lacing pattern rather than just at the top.
Loosen the Quicklace system slightly before putting the shoe on, and ensure your socks are not overly thick, as the SensiFit construction is designed for a close, precision fit.
To set up your XT-Evo, ensure the Quicklace is tightened evenly across the bridge of the foot before sliding the lock into place. Store any excess lace in the dedicated lace pocket found on the tongue. For maintenance, remove loose debris after every outing. If the shoes become heavily soiled, hand wash them with warm water and a mild soap. Avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can damage the bonding agents and the specialized EVA foam in the midsole. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct sunlight or radiators.
