Product Information

Full details

The Salomon XT-EVO is a performance-focused trainer designed for adult males who need a reliable, stable, and breathable shoe for daily activity or light trail use. By blending advanced comfort technologies like SensiFit and the EnergyCell midsole, it provides a secure and cushioned fit that keeps feet energized throughout the day; however, users should note that the bold red-and-black aesthetic is highly distinct and may not suit those seeking a more understated look.

FAQs

Are these shoes waterproof?

The XT-EVO features a mesh base prioritized for breathability, meaning they are not waterproof.

What activity are these best suited for?

They are designed as versatile trainers suitable for daily wear, urban activity, and light trail use.

How should I clean the mesh upper?

Use a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid submersion and allow to air dry completely.

What is the purpose of the Agile CHASSIS?

The Agile CHASSIS provides structural stability to the sole unit, preventing unwanted torsion during movement.

Do I need to size up?

Salomon shoes generally follow standard sizing; however, the EndoFit sleeve provides a snug wrap, so ensure you choose your standard athletic shoe size.

Can I replace the insoles?

Yes, the insoles are removable and can be replaced with custom orthotics if required.

Troubleshooting

Feeling too much pressure across the top of the foot

Loosen the lacing system to allow the SensiFit wings to relax and re-tie them with slightly less tension.

Debris building up in the mesh

Use a light, dry brush to dislodge particles from the mesh pores after each use.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent mid-foot security via SensiFit
Highly breathable mesh for climate control
Stable ride provided by the Agile CHASSIS
Cushioned EnergyCell midsole for shock absorption

Cons

Bold red and black colorway may not match every wardrobe
Performance features are optimized for specific foot shapes
Requires a break-in period for the internal sleeve to feel fully natural

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Salomon XT-EVO trainers provide the best experience, ensure you have selected your correct UK adult shoe size. When putting the shoes on, loosen the laces sufficiently to allow the EndoFit sleeve to slide easily over your foot. For care, avoid machine washing; instead, use a soft-bristled brush to remove dried mud and debris from the mesh upper. If the shoes get wet, air dry them at room temperature away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can warp the chassis components.
