Generally, no. The product acts as a 2-in-1 primer and topcoat; however, bare zinc, aluminum, or galvanized surfaces require a specialized primer first.
You can recoat the surface after 4 hours, with the initial drying time being between 1 to 2 hours.
Apply 1 coat if the existing metal is in sound condition, or 2 coats if you are painting bare or rusty metal.
Use Hammerite Brush Cleaner & Thinners. Remove as much excess paint as possible from the brush before cleaning.
