Salomon XT-6 - Black - UK 5.5

The XT-6 is optimally designed for challenging outdoor environments, including soft, muddy, loose, and rocky trails. Its Mud Contagrip outsole provides superior traction in these conditions, making it ideal for trail running and hiking.

The Quicklace system allows for quick, one-pull tightening and loosening. To tighten, simply pull the lace upwards until snug and slide the stopper down. To loosen, push the stopper release and pull the tongue forward. Excess lace can be stored in the tongue pocket.

The Salomon XT-6 features a lightweight mesh upper for breathability. While the materials offer some water resistance, they are not fully waterproof. For extremely wet conditions, additional waterproof treatments or gaiters might be considered.

Brush off loose dirt, then use a damp cloth and mild soap to gently wipe the upper. Use a brush to clean the outsole. Allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat.

The OrthoLite® insole provides superior cushioning, breathability, and durability. It helps manage moisture, enhances comfort, and adds an extra layer of shock absorption, contributing to less foot fatigue during long activities.

While the XT-6 is comfortable, its specialized design with aggressive traction and technical features is primarily engineered for performance in challenging outdoor conditions. It can be worn casually, but its full potential is realized on trails.

Mud Contagrip® is Salomon's specialized outsole technology designed to provide maximum grip on loose, soft, rugged, and uneven surfaces. It uses deep, sharp lugs made from a compound that balances durability and adhesion, specifically for muddy conditions.

Adjust the Quicklace system by pulling the lace further for a tighter fit, or by pressing the stopper release and pulling the tongue forward to loosen. Ensure the stopper is securely seated in the lace pocket.

Ensure you are wearing appropriate athletic socks. Check your lacing tension to make sure it's snug but not overly tight. Consider if the shoe size is correct; too small or too large can cause issues during long periods of activity. Allow for a break-in period if new.

While Mud Contagrip provides excellent traction, some extremely slick or polished surfaces may still present challenges. Ensure the outsole tread is clean of debris. If grip consistently underperforms on typical terrain, inspect the outsole for excessive wear.
