Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your Salomon XT-6 is straightforward:
- Lacing: To tighten, pull the end of the Quicklace™ system upwards until the shoe fits securely. Slide the stopper down towards the shoe's tongue to lock the laces in place.
- Stowing Laces: Tuck the excess laces and the stopper into the lace pocket located on the tongue to prevent snagging.
- Removing: To loosen, simply push the stopper up and pull the tongue forward to release the laces.
Compatibility
These shoes are designed for:
- Activities: Trail running, ultra-distance races, hiking, and general outdoor adventures on varied terrain.
- Terrain: Best suited for soft, muddy, loose, rocky, and uneven surfaces. The Mud Contagrip performs exceptionally well in these conditions.
- Users: A unisex design, suitable for adults seeking high-performance footwear for demanding outdoor pursuits.
Care
Proper care extends the life of your XT-6 shoes:
- Cleaning: After use, especially in muddy conditions, brush off loose dirt. Use a damp cloth and mild soap to gently wipe down the synthetic and textile upper. For the Contagrip outsole, use a brush to remove embedded dirt and debris.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Avoid: Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this can compromise the shoe's structure and materials.
