Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your Lyle & Scott Lightweight Puffer Jacket is straightforward:
- Donning: Simply put on the jacket as you would any other.
- Adjusting the Fit: Zip up the full-length zipper for complete warmth. Utilize the hood by pulling it over your head for added protection from wind or light rain. The elasticated cuffs and hem automatically provide a snug fit to seal out elements.
Compatibility
This jacket's regular fit and lightweight nature make it highly compatible with various clothing systems:
- Layering: It can be comfortably worn over t-shirts, long-sleeved tops, or thin fleeces. For colder conditions, it can also serve as a mid-layer under a heavier, waterproof shell.
- Activities: Suitable for daily wear, urban exploration, light hiking, cycling, and general outdoor activities.
Care
Proper care will maintain your jacket's performance and longevity. The jacket is made from Nylon.
- Washing: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colors. Fasten all zippers before washing.
> Info needed: Check garment label for specific temperature recommendations.
- Detergent: Use a mild, non-biological detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can impair the DWR treatment.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat with tennis balls to help fluff up the insulation, or lay flat to air dry away from direct heat. Ensure it is completely dry before storing to prevent mildew.
- Ironing: Do not iron.
- Bleaching: Do not bleach.
- Dry Cleaning: Do not dry clean.
- DWR Re-application: Over time, the durable water repellence may wear off. You can restore it using a DWR-restoring spray or wash-in product designed for technical outerwear, following the product's instructions.
