Setup, Compatibility & Care
This fabric requires standard sewing machine needles and thread. Ensure you use a needle size appropriate for medium-weight fabrics (e.g., a size 70/10 or 80/12). Before starting your project, pre-wash the fabric at 40 degrees Celsius to prevent shrinkage. Use a gentle detergent and avoid harsh chemicals. Iron on a low setting, and always test on a scrap piece of fabric first. Due to the fabric's slub texture, consider using a walking foot or tissue paper to prevent the fabric from shifting while sewing. This helps maintain consistent stitch length and prevents puckering. The fabric's compatibility extends to various sewing machines and techniques; however, pre-washing and careful handling are crucial for the best results.
