Viscose is a natural-based fiber and can experience some shrinkage. It is essential to pre-wash your fabric using the same method you plan to use for the finished garment.

This fabric is best for blouses, dresses, skirts, and wide-leg trousers that benefit from a soft, fluid silhouette.

While the fabric is opaque, you may choose to line it if you are creating a dress or skirt that requires more opacity or structure, though it is not strictly necessary for most blouses.

Use a medium heat setting and a pressing cloth. Avoid high heat, as viscose can scorch or become shiny if ironed directly.

Use pattern weights instead of pins or place a sheet of tissue paper underneath the fabric while cutting to add stability.

Ensure you are using a new, sharp needle and check your thread tension. A slightly longer stitch length often resolves puckering in lightweight viscose.

Finish all raw edges immediately after cutting using a serger or a zigzag stitch to prevent unraveling.
