Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease or dust. Lightly roughening the surfaces can improve adhesion.
- Mixing: Dispense equal parts of the two components from the syringe onto a clean surface. Mix thoroughly until a uniform color is achieved.
- Application: Apply the mixed adhesive to the surfaces to be bonded.
- Assembly: Join the parts and hold them together firmly for the duration of the working time (approximately 80 minutes).
- Curing: Allow the bond to cure for a minimum of 14 hours for maximum strength.
Compatibility: Araldite Standard bonds to most materials, including metal, wood, masonry, ceramics, glass, dry concrete, chipboard, leather, cardboard, fabric, rubber, and most plastics (except polyethylene, polypropylene, and Teflon®).
Care: Store the syringe in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight. Clean up any uncured adhesive immediately with a suitable solvent, such as acetone.
