Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease or dust. Lightly roughening the surfaces can improve adhesion.
- Mixing: Dispense equal amounts from each tube onto a clean surface. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is a uniform color.
- Application: Apply the mixed adhesive to both surfaces to be bonded. Assemble the parts and hold them together firmly until set.
- Curing: Allow the adhesive to fully cure. Curing time will vary depending on temperature and humidity. Full strength is usually achieved within a few hours.
- Cleanup: Clean up any excess adhesive with a solvent like acetone before it cures. Once cured, it is very difficult to remove.
Compatibility: Araldite Rapid is compatible with a wide range of materials, including metal, wood, masonry, ceramics, glass, dry concrete, chipboard, leather, cardboard, fabric, rubber, and most plastics.
Care: Store the tubes in a cool, dry place. Ensure the caps are tightly sealed after use to prevent the adhesive from drying out.
