FAQs

Is this controller compatible with Nintendo Switch Lite?

Yes, the Afterglow Wave Wired RGB Gaming Controller is compatible with the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch – OLED Model.

How do I customize the RGB lighting?

RGB customization options, including selecting from eight zones and four preset modes, are typically accessed by following specific button combination sequences outlined in the user manual provided with the controller.

What makes the Hall-Effect thumbsticks different?

Hall-Effect thumbsticks use magnetic fields instead of physical contact points. This design significantly reduces wear and tear, virtually eliminates stick drift, and offers improved precision and longevity compared to traditional analog sticks.

Can I map any button to the back buttons?

Yes, the two programmable back buttons can be mapped to most standard button functions on the Nintendo Switch, allowing for a customized control layout.

Does this controller have rumble or vibration feedback?

The product description does not explicitly mention rumble or vibration features. Please refer to the official product packaging or manufacturer's website for detailed specifications.

What is the length of the USB cable?

The controller comes with a 3-meter (approximately 9.8 feet) USB cable for a comfortable playing distance.

Is this controller wireless?

No, this is a wired controller. It connects to your Nintendo Switch console via a USB cable.

Troubleshooting

Controller not recognized by the console

Ensure the USB cable is securely plugged into both the controller and the console. Try a different USB port on the console, if available. Restart your Nintendo Switch console.

RGB lighting is not working or behaving erratically

Check the cable connection. Refer to the user guide for instructions on how to reset or reconfigure the RGB lighting settings. Ensure the controller firmware is up-to-date if applicable via console updates.

Thumbsticks are drifting or unresponsive

Due to the Hall-Effect technology, drift should be minimal. If you experience issues, ensure no debris is obstructing the thumbstick mechanism. Try re-calibrating the controller through the Nintendo Switch system settings if the issue persists.

Mappable back buttons are not functioning

Verify that the buttons have been correctly programmed according to the user guide instructions. Ensure you are in a game or application that supports custom button mapping.

Audio through the 3.5mm jack is distorted or absent

Check that your headset is properly plugged into the controller's jack. Test your headset with another device to rule out headset issues. Ensure the audio volume is not muted or set too low via the controller's audio controls.
