Salomon XT-6 - Black - UK 7.5

Quicklace™ is Salomon's minimalist lacing system. It uses a strong, thin lace that can be tightened with a single pull. To secure, pull the toggle upwards. To release, press the button on the toggle and pull the lace apart. The excess lace can be tucked into the lace pocket on the shoe's tongue.

Mud Contagrip® is a specialized outsole designed with deep, sharp lugs made from a compound that prioritizes adhesion. It provides maximum grip on loose, soft, muddy, and uneven surfaces, ensuring stability and confidence on challenging trails.

While comfortable, the Salomon XT-6 is optimized for trail running and extreme conditions. Its outsole design and cushioning are specifically engineered for uneven, soft, or technical terrain. Using them extensively on hard, flat surfaces like roads may lead to faster wear on the outsole and less optimal performance.

The Agile Chassis™ System (ACS) is a Salomon technology that works in conjunction with the EnergyCell midsole. It provides enhanced stability and dampening, helping to control the foot's movement and offer protection on varied terrain, ensuring a more stable and responsive ride.

To clean your XT-6 shoes, first remove any loose dirt with a soft brush. For stubborn mud or stains, use a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents or putting them in a washing machine, as this can damage the materials and adhesives. Allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat.

The Salomon XT-6 is best suited for challenging and technical trail environments, including rocky paths, muddy trails, loose gravel, and varying elevations. Its design is ideal for ultra-distance running in extreme conditions where durability, grip, and cushioning are paramount.

Ensure the lace is fully threaded through all eyelets and the lace pocket. Pull the toggle firmly upwards to tighten, then check for any twists in the lace. If uneven, gently pull the lace from the side that feels looser through the eyelets towards the toggle before re-tightening.

Check the Mud Contagrip® outsole for accumulated mud, dirt, or debris. Clean the tread patterns thoroughly with a stiff brush and water to restore optimal traction. Ensure the shoe surface is free from any oil or grease.

Ensure you are wearing appropriate socks designed for trail running. Verify that the shoe size is correct for your foot, considering potential swelling during long efforts. Gradually break in new shoes over shorter distances before attempting ultra-distance runs.

The OrthoLite® insole may compress over extended use. While durable, consider replacing insoles if significant compression or wear is observed to restore cushioning and support. Check for any damage to the shoe's upper or sole.
