Product Information

Full details

The Caecus Roller Blind in Dark Grey is designed for homeowners and renters seeking a versatile solution for complete light exclusion and enhanced privacy. This product is ideal for bedrooms or media rooms where total darkness is required, offering a modern aesthetic and thermal efficiency through its high-quality 3-pass blackout lining. While the blind provides exceptional light control, users should note that the stated width includes the mounting hardware, so the actual fabric width is slightly narrower, which may require careful measurement for inside-recess installations.

FAQs

Does the blind include the hardware needed for installation?

Yes, it comes with all necessary fixtures and fittings. You only need to supply your own drill.

Can I install this inside my window recess?

Yes, the top-fix brackets are designed for inside-recess mounting.

Is the fabric machine washable?

No, it is designed to be wiped clean with a damp cloth only.

Why is the fabric width smaller than the measurement listed?

The stated size represents the total width of the unit including the mounting brackets. The fabric itself is narrower to accommodate the mechanism.

Does the blind offer thermal protection?

Yes, the 3-pass blackout lining provides thermal properties that help insulate your room.

Can I shorten the drop of the blind?

The blind can support a maximum drop of 210cm, but it can be adjusted or trimmed if necessary.

Troubleshooting

The blind rolls up unevenly

Check that the mounting brackets are perfectly level. If one side is higher, the blind will skew to one side while retracting.

The blind is too wide for my window

The fabric and headrail can be trimmed at home. Use a sharp pair of fabric scissors for the cloth and a fine-toothed hacksaw for the metal tube.

Light is entering through the sides

If mounted inside the recess, consider moving the brackets to a face-fix position outside the recess to increase overlap and eliminate side-light.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation is designed to be user-friendly, requiring only a drill and basic tools to mount the provided brackets. You can opt for a top-fix (ceiling of the recess) or face-fix (wall above the window) configuration. When installing, always account for the hardware width—the total stated size includes the mechanism at both ends, so the fabric will measure slightly less. For care, avoid harsh chemical cleaners. Simply wipe the fabric gently with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or light stains, ensuring the blind is completely dry before rolling it up for storage.
