The adidas Sambae Hello Kitty pays homage to the iconic cat character created by Yuko Shimizu for Sanrio through Hello Kitty-themed details and colors. The white, calf leather upper features embroidered outlines of Hello Kitty in white thread, including the character’s signature bow and cat ears. In addition, the right shoe displays a metal lace jewel with Hello Kitty’s face, while the left shoe features a big, plastic bow in red at the top of the lace closure system. Hello Kitty details and the adidas trefoil grace the white insole, while the signature gum rubber outsole comes in Clear Pink and the flat, leather tongue reveals adidas branding. Black is used on the 3-Stripes logos, the heel tab, and the tongue’s adidas branding to match the color used to outline Hello Kitty. These shoes were released on June 14, 2024, and retailed at $115.
