Setup
- Preparation: Ensure the PC is turned off and unplugged. Gather all components, including the cooler, fans, and mounting hardware.
- Mounting: Install the cooler onto the CPU socket by following the manufacturer’s instructions. Apply the thermal paste provided. Secure the water block to the CPU.
- Radiator Placement: Mount the 360mm radiator to the case, typically at the top or front. Ensure proper airflow.
- Fan Installation: Connect the fans to the radiator and secure them with screws. Daisy-chain the ARGB fans for streamlined power and lighting control.
- Connections: Connect the pump to a CPU fan header and the fans to the motherboard’s fan headers. Connect the ARGB cables to the motherboard’s ARGB headers or a compatible controller.
- Software: Install the ASUS software (Armoury Crate) to control the display and customize the lighting effects.
Compatibility
The ROG Ryuo IV SLC 360 ARGB cooler supports the following CPU sockets: LGA 1700, LGA 1851, Socket AM4, and Socket AM5. Check your motherboard and CPU specifications to ensure compatibility before purchasing.
Care
- Dusting: Regularly clean the fans and radiator fins with compressed air to prevent dust buildup and ensure optimal airflow.
- Monitoring: Use monitoring software to check CPU temperatures and fan speeds. This helps identify any potential issues early.
- Coolant: The cooler is a sealed unit, so you do not need to refill the coolant.
- Software Updates: Keep the ASUS software up to date to ensure the latest features and compatibility.
