Setup
- Plan Your Layout: Before peeling any adhesive or making cuts, unroll the LED strip and position it in your desired location. This helps visualize the final look and determine if any cutting is needed.
- Clean the Surface: Ensure the surface where the strip will be mounted is clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. This is crucial for the adhesive (if applicable) to bond properly.
- Cut (If Needed): If you need a shorter length, identify the designated cut marks on the strip. Use sharp scissors to cut precisely at these marks. Cutting anywhere else may damage the circuit and render a section of the strip unusable.
- Connect Power: Plug the UL-certified power adapter into the strip's connector, ensuring a secure fit.
- Secure the Strip: Carefully peel the adhesive backing (if present) and press the strip firmly onto the prepared surface. For outdoor use or more permanent indoor installations, consider using additional mounting clips or channels for extra security and protection.
- Power On: Plug the power adapter into a suitable 120V AC wall outlet to illuminate the strip.
Compatibility
This Neon LED Strip is designed to operate with the included 12V UL-certified plug. It is not compatible with higher voltage systems (e.g., 24V or 240V) or dimmers/controllers not specifically designed for 12V LED neon strips. Ensure all components are rated for 12V DC.
Care
- Cleaning: To clean the strip, gently wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or submerge the strip in water, especially the power connections.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the strip and its connections for any signs of wear, damage, or loose contacts, especially if installed outdoors. Ensure the power plug connection remains dry and free from moisture.
- Storage: If storing the strip, gently roll it up without sharp bends and keep it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
