The Shires Double Jointed Copper Lozenge Pelham Bit is designed to aid in control. The double joint with a copper lozenge helps to soften the nutcracker action and encourages salivation, keeping the horse's mouth soft. Stainless steel, the most common material for bits, is durable, easy to clean, tasteless, and does not rust. Copper is incorporated into the mouthpiece to generate warmth and stimulate salivation. Available in sizes 4.5", 5.0", 5.5", and 6.0". Mouthpiece thickness: 16mm. Cheek height: 125mm (4.5"), 130mm (5"), 140mm (5.5").
