Setup, Compatibility & Care
When you first receive your Flaxen boots, ensure you wear them indoors for short periods to allow the leather to soften to your foot shape. For daily care, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe away dust and debris. To maintain the deep brown color, apply a high-quality leather conditioner or cream polish every few weeks to keep the material supple and prevent cracking. Avoid submerging the boots in water; if they do get wet, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp or dry out the leather. Using cedar shoe trees when not in use is highly recommended to help maintain the boot's shape and absorb internal moisture.
