FAQs
Can I take this suitcase as a carry-on?
No, at 28 inches tall, this suitcase exceeds the standard carry-on size limits for almost all airlines and must be checked.
Does the hard shell scratch easily?
While the shell is durable, surface scuffs can occur during standard handling. Most can be cleaned off with a damp, soapy cloth.
Are the wheels replaceable?
The wheels are designed for long-term use, but should they fail, they are typically modular and can be replaced by a professional luggage repair shop.
Is this suitcase waterproof?
The exterior is water-resistant, meaning it can handle exposure to light rain or splashes, but it is not completely waterproof if submerged.
How do I set the TSA lock combination?
Use a small tool to press the button inside the lock housing, set your desired code, and then release the button.
Troubleshooting
The telescopic handle is stuck or stiff
Ensure the suitcase is not overstuffed, as internal pressure can cause the handle rails to bind. Shake the bag lightly to shift contents away from the handle mechanism.
Cannot unlock the TSA lock
Double-check that the dials are perfectly aligned. If you have forgotten your combination, there is no manual override for individual users; contact professional luggage repair services.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Durable hard-shell exterior provides excellent protection
- Smooth 360-degree maneuverability on smooth surfaces
- Integrated TSA-approved locking mechanism
- Water-resistant materials help protect against light rain
Cons
- Not suitable for carry-on use due to large dimensions
- Requires careful packing to avoid airline weight limits
- Large footprint can be difficult to store in compact vehicles
Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Lock Setup: To set your initial code, move the dials to the default 0-0-0 and press the reset button with a thin tool before choosing your custom combination.
- Compatibility: The 28-inch dimensions are standard for checked luggage; however, always verify individual airline size restrictions before heading to the airport.
- Care: Wipe the exterior shell with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove scuffs or dirt. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could degrade the water-resistant coating. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
