Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your Asics FIELD 2 shoes is straightforward. Simply put them on and lace them up securely. For optimal fit:
- Wear appropriate socks: Athletic socks designed for performance can enhance comfort and moisture-wicking.
- Lace up properly: Start from the toe box and work your way up, ensuring even tension. You can experiment with different lacing patterns to find what feels most secure and comfortable for your foot.
- Check fit: Your toes should have a small amount of space at the front, and your heel should feel secure without slipping.
Compatibility
These shoes are compatible with a range of field sports requiring specialized traction and support. This includes, but is not limited to, sports played on grass or artificial turf fields such as:
- Field Hockey
- Lacrosse
- Rugby (non-studded versions if applicable)
- General athletic training on field surfaces
They are not typically recommended for indoor court sports, running on pavement, or hiking, as their sole pattern is optimized for field conditions.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the appearance of your white Asics FIELD 2 shoes:
- Cleaning: After each use, especially if playing on muddy fields, gently brush off loose dirt. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap (like dish soap) mixed with water and a soft brush or cloth. Gently scrub soiled areas. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Rinsing: Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or using artificial heat sources (like radiators or dryers), which can damage materials and adhesives.
- Deodorizing: To keep them fresh, you can use shoe deodorizers or place dryer sheets inside when not in use.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures. Consider using shoe trees to help maintain their shape.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry your shoes, as this can cause irreversible damage.
