Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your HOKA Challenger 8 trainers, it is important to follow proper maintenance steps.
- Break-in Period: While HOKA shoes are comfortable out of the box, wear them for shorter walks or runs before attempting long-distance efforts to let the foam and upper adapt to your foot.
- Sizing: Ensure you have a thumb's width of space at the front of the toe box to account for foot swelling during long runs.
- Cleaning: Remove loose mud or dirt with a soft brush after every trail run. If deep cleaning is required, wash by hand using cold water and a mild detergent; avoid soaking or using a washing machine.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes away from direct heat sources (like radiators or sunlight) to prevent the glue and materials from breaking down.
