While it provides excellent waterproof protection, it is designed for hiking and trekking rather than technical winter mountaineering or ice climbing.

The hood is designed for general hiking. It may be too tight to comfortably accommodate a large climbing or ski helmet.

The jacket uses a regular fit. If you plan on layering heavily underneath, consider your standard size, but ensure you test it with your intended mid-layers.
