Bosch Metal Drill Bit - 8mm

This bit is designed for drilling in alloyed and non-alloyed steel, non-ferrous metals, cast steel, cast iron, and plastics. It is not suitable for wood or masonry.

The self-centring PointTeQ tip prevents the drill bit from wandering when starting a hole, ensuring greater accuracy and a clean start.

The black-oxide coating on the flute helps with fast chip removal, which reduces heat buildup and wear on the drill bit.

For drilling metal with an 8mm bit, a slower speed with higher torque is generally recommended. Consult your drill manufacturer's guidelines for metal drilling.

This bit is designed for drilling holes, not reaming. Reaming requires specialized tools to achieve precise internal diameters and smooth finishes.

Use appropriate cutting fluid when drilling tougher metals, maintain correct drill speed and pressure, and ensure proper chip clearance. Store the bit in a dry place to prevent rust.

This HSS twist drill bit is not designed for use in hammer or impact drilling mode. Use it with a standard rotary drilling function only.

Ensure the PointTeQ tip is properly centered and making contact. Use a center punch to create a small starting divot if necessary. Verify the drill speed is appropriate for the material.

Check for adequate lubrication (cutting fluid) if drilling harder metals. Ensure the drill speed is not too high. Clear chips from the flute more frequently. Verify the material is within the bit's compatibility range.

Ensure you are using the correct drill speed and pressure for the material. Avoid excessive force. If the bit is significantly worn, it may need replacement.
