Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Adjusting Shoulder Straps: Loosen all straps, then put the pack on. Tighten the shoulder straps evenly until the pack sits comfortably on your back, with the top of the straps just below your shoulders.
- Attaching/Adjusting Hipbelt: The webbing hipbelt can be easily buckled around your waist for added stability. Adjust the webbing straps to a snug, but not constricting, fit. If not needed, the hipbelt can be completely removed.
- Hydration Reservoir: Insert your compatible hydration reservoir into the internal sleeve. Thread the hose through the designated port (usually near the top of a shoulder strap) and secure the bite valve for easy access. Ensure the reservoir is not overfilled for easier insertion.
Compatibility
The Osprey Daylite Cinch is specifically compatible with Osprey Hydraulics and Hydraulics LT Reservoirs. While other hydration bladders *might* fit, optimal performance and fit are ensured with Osprey's recommended models.
Care
- Cleaning: For general cleaning, wipe the pack with a damp cloth and mild soap. For deeper cleaning, hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Drying: Hang the pack upside down in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or heat, to air dry completely. Ensure all zippers and compartments are open.
- Storage: Store the pack in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use to prevent material degradation.
