Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Choose Your Sockliner: Before wearing for the first time, decide whether to use the `SL` (Superlight) sockliner for maximum responsiveness or the `Comfort` sockliner for additional cushioning. Simply remove the existing sockliner and insert your preferred option.
- Lace Up: The boots feature a lace closure system. Thread the laces through all eyelets and tie them securely to achieve a snug, personalized fit. The `Compression Fit Tunnel Tongue` is designed to wrap your foot, so ensure laces are tightened evenly for optimal lockdown.
- Break-in Period: Like all high-performance football boots, the F50 Elite FG may benefit from a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or short periods initially to allow the `Fibertouch` upper to mold to your foot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This includes natural grass fields that are dry and offer good stability. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor courts is not recommended, as it can affect performance, durability, and potentially lead to injury.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove any excess mud or dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources, which can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures. Consider using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper to help maintain their shape.
- Soleplate Lacquer: Note that the red lacquer finish on the soleplate may wear off during play. This is a cosmetic effect and does not impact the performance or durability of the boot.
