Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The Elica NikolaTesla Switch requires professional installation due to its integrated design and the necessity for proper ducting. The 150mm ducting connector ensures efficient airflow for the extractor. Plan the ducting route carefully with your installer to ensure optimal performance and minimal noise. Ensure adequate clearance around and below the unit as specified in the product manual.
Compatibility
This is an induction hob, meaning it is compatible with *induction-ready cookware*. This typically includes pots and pans made of cast iron, stainless steel with a magnetic base, or other ferromagnetic materials. To check if your existing cookware is compatible, simply place a magnet on the bottom; if it sticks, it will work on an induction hob.
Care
- Daily Cleaning: For general cleaning, wipe the glass ceramic surface with a soft cloth and mild detergent after each use once the hob has cooled. For stubborn marks, use a ceramic hob cleaner. Avoid abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals that can scratch the surface.
- Extractor Cleaning: The integrated suction leaves a flat surface for easy cleaning. Regularly wipe down the suction grille and surrounding areas.
- Revolution Filter Regeneration: The Revolution Filter is designed to be regenerable for up to 5 years. Refer to your product manual for specific instructions on how to regenerate the filter. This usually involves cleaning it and then baking it in an oven to reactivate its filtering properties. Regular regeneration is crucial for maintaining optimal extraction performance and air quality.
