Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Your Antora Jacket requires no complex setup. Upon receipt, simply adjust the following for optimal comfort and weather protection:
- Hood: Use the cord lock to cinch the hood for a snug fit around your head, especially in windy or rainy conditions.
- Hem: Utilize the internal cinch cord at the hem to tighten the jacket around your waist, helping to seal out drafts and customize the fit.
- Cuffs: The encased elastic cuffs provide a natural seal, but ensure they are comfortable and not overly tight or loose for your activity.
Compatibility
- Layering: The regular fit is designed to accommodate layering underneath. For colder conditions, pair it with a fleece or insulated mid-layer to maximize warmth. For warmer, wet days, a light base layer is sufficient.
- Activities: Ideal for hiking, trekking, walking, commuting, and general outdoor or urban use where weather protection is key.
Care Instructions
To maintain the performance and longevity of your Antora Jacket, follow these simple care guidelines:
- Machine Washable: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can impair the DWR finish and breathability.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat. It's often beneficial to tumble dry for a short period to reactivate the jacket's DWR (Durable Water-Repellent) finish.
- Ironing: Do not iron.
- Bleaching: Do not bleach.
- Dry Cleaning: Do not dry clean.
- Re-proofing: Over time, the DWR finish may wear off. You can restore water repellency using a DWR re-proofing spray or wash-in product designed for waterproof breathable fabrics.
