Water-resistant means the fabric can repel water and is suitable for spills and light splashes. It does not mean waterproof, so prolonged exposure to heavy rain should be avoided.

Check for any fabric caught in the zipper. Gently try to move the zipper back and forth. Apply a small amount of lubricant like graphite from a pencil lead to the teeth if necessary.
