Designed by Jonas Trampdach. Manufactured by HAY. Jonas Trampdach’s Cornet barstool is a classic barstool using an innovative steel tube technique inspired by bicycle racks. The round solid oak seat rests on a slender steel base, creating an interesting balance of proportions and profiles.
Dimensions: Ø 33.5 x H 75 cm - Seat: Ø 32 cm. Sublime simplicity. A light, streamlined silhouette for these Cornet bar stools that offer a wonderful combination of materials. Corset is a collection of bar stools with a classic look that uses an innovative technique of assembling steel tubes, inspired by bike racks. Very sylph-like, the base consists of a thin tubular structure in lacquered steel. Each side of the base has a reinforcing side bar. Placed at different heights, these bars provide extreme strength to the base. They can also be used as footrests and adapt to people of all sizes. Visually, these asymmetrical lines that punctuate the base bring originality and modernity to the silhouette. The thick solid oak seat is slightly curved for greater comfort. The natural material adds a warm feel to the minimalist silhouette. Corset stools are perfect around a bar, a high table or a breakfast bar. Their sturdiness and solidity means they can be used in community environments.
