Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Adjust Straps: Loosen the chin strap and side straps. Place the helmet on your head, ensuring it sits level and covers the forehead. Adjust the straps so they form a 'V' under each earlobe and the chin strap is snug but comfortable.
- Fit Dial: Turn the over-injected rubber dial at the rear of the helmet counter-clockwise to loosen the fit system. Once the helmet is positioned correctly, turn the dial clockwise to tighten until the helmet feels secure but not overly tight.
- Vertical Stabilizer: Adjust the vertical stabilizer at the back of the helmet to accommodate your hairstyle, ensuring a comfortable and stable fit.
Compatibility:
The Protone Icon WG11 Helmet is designed for adult unisex use and is compatible with most road cycling setups. The fit system is designed to accommodate various hairstyles.
Care:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the helmet's exterior and interior padding. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the helmet materials.
- Storage: Store the helmet in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ideally, store it in its original box or a helmet bag to protect it from scratches and dust.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the helmet for any signs of damage, such as cracks, dents, or worn straps. If any damage is found, the helmet should be replaced immediately.
