Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires basic woodworking tools, including a drill with a pilot bit and a screwdriver.
- Positioning: Align the butt end of the hinge against the door frame, ensuring it is level.
- Pilot Holes: Use the provided countersunk screws as a guide to mark and drill pilot holes; this prevents the timber from splitting.
- Securing: Drive the screws until the heads are flush with the hinge plate.
For maintenance, periodically inspect the screws for tightness after the first month of use, as timber can settle. While the hot-dipped galvanised finish is highly weather-resistant, applying a light machine oil to the hinge pivot pin annually will ensure smooth, noise-free operation.
