Setting up Amaco Rub 'n Buff for use is incredibly simple. No special tools are required; you can apply it directly with a clean finger or a soft cloth. Ensure your workspace is well-ventilated, and have paper towels or a rag handy for any excess product.
Compatibility
Rub 'n Buff is highly versatile and compatible with a variety of surfaces:
- Wood: Both raw and painted wood.
- Metal: Including iron, brass, copper, and tin.
- Ceramics: Specifically post-fired ceramics (not for greenware or bisque).
- Painted Surfaces: Adheres well to previously painted items.
- Plaster/Resin: Can be used to add metallic finishes to decorative plaster or resin castings.
Care & Storage
- Storage: Store the tube tightly capped in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. This helps prevent the product from drying out.
- Product Lifespan: With proper storage, a tube of Rub 'n Buff can last for an extended period. If it appears a bit stiff, gently knead the tube before opening.
