Fox EOS Free Spool - 12000

The free spool system allows fish to take line without feeling resistance from the reel, reducing the chance of them dropping the bait or spooking. It can be instantly switched to a front drag for playing the fish.

The 8000 and 10000 sizes are suitable for smaller waters, stalking, and specialist fishing. The 12000 and 14000 sizes are better for long-range casting, boat work, and handling larger fish.

To switch to front drag, simply turn the reel handle. The free spool disengages automatically, and the front drag becomes active.

The Fox EOS Free Spool - 12000 reel has a gear ratio of 4.3:1.

The 12000 size reel can hold 415 meters of 0.35mm line.

While the reel can be used in saltwater, it is essential to rinse it thoroughly with fresh water after every use to prevent corrosion and prolong its lifespan.

The 12000 size reel features 10 ball bearings and 1 roller bearing for smooth operation.

Rinse the reel with fresh water. Ensure no debris is caught in the handle mechanism. If persistent, a light application of reel oil to the handle shaft may help.

Check that the free spool lever is fully engaged. Ensure the drag is not set too loosely. Clean any dirt from the free spool mechanism.

Ensure the line is wound evenly onto the spool. Check that the free spool tension is set appropriately for your casting technique and conditions. Avoid overfilling the spool.
