Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Explore Camp Sandals arrive ready to wear. Simply slide your feet in and adjust the heel strap with the slider buckle to achieve a snug, comfortable fit. Ensure the strap is tight enough to prevent your foot from sliding around, but not so tight that it causes discomfort or restricts circulation. A proper fit is key for stability and preventing blisters.
Compatibility
These sandals are designed for warm-weather outdoor activities. They are compatible with bare feet for maximum breathability. While some users may choose to wear thin socks, the open design and water-friendly materials are optimized for sockless wear. They pair well with lightweight hiking attire, shorts, or swimwear.
Care Instructions
To ensure the longevity and hygiene of your Explore Camp Sandals, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning: After use, especially in muddy or sandy conditions, rinse the sandals with cool water to remove loose dirt and debris. For a more thorough clean, use a mild soap or detergent with a soft brush or sponge to gently scrub the footbed and straps. Pay attention to the contoured areas of the EVA footbed where dirt or sweat might accumulate.
- Drying: Allow the sandals to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources. This prevents material degradation and inhibits odor formation.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, a mixture of baking soda and water can be applied to the footbed and left for a few hours before rinsing. Alternatively, use an athletic shoe deodorizer spray.
- Storage: Store your sandals in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the straps, buckles, and sole for any signs of wear or damage. Early detection can prevent larger issues.
