New Balance’s CT302 expands on the casual elegance and everyday wearability of the familiar court silhouette. The timeless style of the classic tennis shoe is reimagined, with an infusion of exaggerated proportions and unexpected details. Inspired by a top of the range 1980s on-court model, the CT300, the CT302 adds a stacked height midsole, an outsized take on the classic cup outsole design and ‘N’ logo, and a rubber toe wrap extending from the outsole, along with the use of curved and wavy lines throughout the design. This specific iteration, the Moonbeam Natural Indigo, reinvents the 1980s NB CT300 tennis shoe silhouette with an oversized cup outsole and side panel branding, a rubber toe wrap, and wavy lines all through the design. The upper features moonbeam mesh with tonal overlays in suede and an indigo heel tab and the Heritage N court logo in smooth leather. Hits of team red appear on the insole and tongue, which sports exposed foam. The natural stacked ABZORB midsole matches the ProCourt-inspired leather tip wrap. The midsole is 1.7 mm higher in the heel, featuring miniature embossed branding. Released on March 15, 2022, the New Balance CT302 Moonbeam Natural Indigo sold for $100 retail.
