Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup: Hanging Your Adi Pencil Pleat Curtains
- Prepare for Hanging: Unpack your curtains and gently lay them out. If needed, a light iron can be used on the polyester fabric to remove any creases from packaging. The description states 'Light iron' only.
- Gather the Pleats: The pencil pleat heading features drawstrings along the top. Gently pull these strings from one end to gather the fabric evenly, creating the 'pencil pleats'. Adjust the width until it matches your window pole or track.
- Attach Curtain Hooks: Once the pleats are evenly distributed, insert curtain hooks (not included) into the small pockets or loops along the gathered heading. The number and spacing of hooks will depend on your pole/track length and desired drape.
- Hang the Curtains: For curtain tracks, attach the hooks to the gliders. For curtain poles, attach the hooks to curtain rings (if using rings) or directly to the pole if it has appropriate loops.
- Adjust and Drape: Once hung, stand back and adjust the pleats and drape to ensure an even, elegant look.
Compatibility
- Curtain Poles: These curtains are fully compatible with standard curtain poles. They can be hung directly using rings with hooks, or if your pole system supports it, direct hook attachment.
- Curtain Tracks: The pencil pleat heading is also suitable for use with most curtain tracks, requiring standard curtain gliders and hooks.
Care Instructions
Proper care will ensure your Adi Lined Pencil Pleat Curtains remain beautiful and functional for years.
- Cleaning: The curtains are machine washable. Use a gentle cycle with cold or lukewarm water.
- Drying: Line dry to help maintain their shape and prevent damage. Avoid tumble drying.
- Ironing: If necessary, use a light iron setting on the polyester fabric. Avoid high heat.
- Bleaching: Do not use bleach, as this can damage the fabric and color.
- Professional Cleaning: While machine washable, for stubborn stains or if you prefer, professional dry cleaning is also an option, though not strictly necessary.
