While the Nike Vomero 5 offers good cushioning and support for general active play, it is not specifically designed as a high-performance shoe for intense, specialized sports like soccer or basketball. For those activities, we recommend shoes engineered for the specific demands of the sport.

We recommend measuring your child's foot. Stand your child on a piece of paper, trace their foot, and measure the length from heel to longest toe. Compare this measurement to Nike's size chart for kids' shoes. Always leave a little room for growth (about half an inch at the toe).

The Vomero 5 features a layered upper with mesh, which is not waterproof. While they can handle light splashes, prolonged exposure to heavy rain or puddles will likely result in wet feet. We recommend avoiding heavy wet conditions to protect both the shoes and your child's comfort.

For optimal comfort and to manage moisture, we recommend wearing athletic or cotton-blend socks. Avoid very thin dress socks or thick woolen socks that might alter the fit or cause rubbing.
