Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
These shoes feature a traditional lace-up closure. To ensure the best fit:
- Loosen Laces: Fully loosen the laces before slipping your child's foot into the shoe.
- Position Foot: Ensure the heel is seated comfortably at the back of the shoe.
- Tighten Laces: Starting from the bottom eyelets, gradually tighten the laces, ensuring they are snug but not overly tight.
- Tie Knot: Secure with a standard bow knot. For very active children, a double knot can help prevent laces from coming undone.
Compatibility
- Age Group: Specifically designed for Younger Kids.
- Activity: Ideal for everyday wear, casual play, school, and light physical activity. Not intended as specialized footwear for specific sports like competitive running or intense field sports, though they offer good general support.
- Socks: Best worn with appropriate athletic or casual socks for comfort and to prevent chafing.
Care
Given the leather and layered materials, proper care is important:
- Remove Loose Dirt: Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) or a damp cloth to gently brush off any loose dirt or mud.
- Spot Clean: For tougher stains on the synthetic leather and plastic, use a mild soap solution (e.g., diluted dish soap) with a soft cloth. Gently wipe the affected area.
- Leather Care: For genuine leather sections, use a specialized leather cleaner or a very slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Mesh Areas: Use a damp cloth to wipe mesh, avoiding excessive scrubbing to prevent damage.
- Rinse (if needed): Wipe off any soap residue with a clean, damp cloth.
- Drying: Always air dry at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage the materials, especially leather.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Stuffing with paper towels can help maintain shape and absorb moisture.
- Avoid Washing Machine: Do not machine wash these shoes as it can damage the materials, structure, and cushioning.
