Setup, Compatibility & Care

Initial Setup:

1. Assembly: The Shark Steam Mop S1000UK typically requires minimal assembly. Ensure the handle is securely attached to the main body.
2. Attach Pad: Securely attach a clean Dirt Grip pad to the mop head.
3. Fill Water Flask: Open the cap of the 375ml water flask and fill it with distilled or tap water. It's recommended to use distilled water in hard water areas to prevent mineral buildup. Close the cap tightly.
4. Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The mop will begin to heat up.
5. Begin Cleaning: Once heated (a few seconds), simply pump the handle to release steam and begin cleaning.

Compatibility:

• Sealed Hard Floors Only: This steam mop is exclusively designed for use on sealed hard floor surfaces, including sealed hardwood, marble, tile, and stone. Do NOT use on unsealed wooden floors, unglazed ceramic tiles, or carpeted surfaces as steam can cause damage.
• No Chemicals Required: Only use water in the flask. Adding cleaning solutions, essential oils, or other chemicals can damage the unit and void the guarantee.

Care & Maintenance:

• Dirt Grip Pads: The microfibre Dirt Grip pads are machine washable. Wash them with liquid detergent and air dry for best results. Do not use bleach or fabric softener, as this can damage the pad's fibers and reduce cleaning effectiveness.
• Water Flask: After each use, empty any remaining water from the flask. This helps prevent mineral buildup and bacterial growth.
• Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the steam mop with a damp cloth to keep it clean. Do not immerse the unit in water.
• Storage: Store the mop upright in a dry place when not in use. Ensure the unit is cool before storing.
